A true story of neighborhood connection, Dorian found SacredWaters walking past our doors every day to and from the Academy for Careers in TV & Film in Long Island City. After graduating in 2017, he took a position at the school and would stop by our store to talk life and crystals whenever he needed a moment of rest and connection. We’re so grateful he’s joined the SacredWaters family and chooses to share his enormous, loving heart with all of us.
As a freelance camera operator, photographer, and production designer, Dorian has been working in film since his sophomore year in high school. An empathic activist for LGBT+, Black Lives Matter, and intersectional feminism, Dorian believes that all people have something of value to say. He is an exceptional listener and loves to help people process and heal their lives through conversation, laughter, and lots of hugs. If you’re lucky, he may even offer to read your Tarot or give you a spontaneous consultation on the properties and uses of various crystals.
Dorian is happiest running through the streets of Manhattan, from LES to Alphabet City to Harlem, with his camera in hand, finding new routes to travel and new adventures to live. While he may need to push himself to get up and out in the morning sometimes, by the time he’s off the train, with the help of music and his curiosity for the world, Dorian metamorphoses into the social butterfly we know him to be. Come summertime, you can probably find Dorian outdoors with his bare feet grounding on the earth and his face turned upwards to the sun. If it’s at the beach, look for him far out in waves, almost far enough to be swept away by the sparkling ocean ~ a quintessential Pisces at heart!
