We are grateful that Satya has found a home at SacredWaters, where there’s room for both her belly laugh and her quiet reflections. Most of all, we are grateful for her ability and willingness to connect with the beings who find themselves coming through our door – those connections are an important piece in the experience of authentic community (hers, ours, and yours).
Satya is a visual artist and writer who explores the inner landscape of the feminine psyche through experimental, spiritual, ritualistic, and autobiographical work. Her primary focus as an artist is on healing and connection, which she sees as the magic inherent to all creativity across all mediums. She has traveled the globe gathering stories and heart connections, listening for the Truth, especially when it flashes in someone’s eyes. She’s played dress up in the corporate world, done heartful work in the non-profit world, giggled and grown caring for children, and gotten plenty of splinters building a house and fiddling with things that need fixing. She’s put on a convincing act as a dance performer and producer, and a less convincing act as a stand-up comedian. She’s kept her mind and body moving and growing through dance, music, meditation, and play. When she’s not recharging in her cocoon, she’s out in the world on the adventure of change.
